About ExpertMathTutoring.Pro

My name is Martin McMillan, and I received my undergraduate degree in electrical engineering (BSEE, Duke University, 1981, Magna Cum Laude) and my graduate degree in chemical engineering (PhD, Yale University, 1987).

While obtaining those degrees, I took courses in differential, integral, and multidimensional calculus, linear algebra, probability and statistics, differential equations, and mathematical physics, along with courses in computer programming, general, organic, and physical chemistry, general physics, special relativity, and quantum mechanics.

Working as a researcher in the chemical and biotechnology industries, I used mathematics daily to do numerical analysis of data. Further, I have taught at levels from elementary to graduate school. Even though I am aware that many "teach to the test", I do place emphasis on the fundamentals as well. Moreover, people have different modes of learning, and I adapt my presentation of the subject to meet the unique needs of an individual student.
